Fly Fishery Review – Ellerdine Lakes
Fly fishing is a something that we do for relaxation, pleasure and escapeism. Well, I had a great day fly fishing at Ellerdine Lakes, and enjoyed both talking to Garry and fly fishing on the very picturesque lakes. They fly fishery is well kept and the fish are hard fighting full finned Rainbows, Brown, Blue and Tiger trout. There is a well stocked tackled shop and a really nice touch is that you can get fresh bacon, sausage egg, etc sandwiches at very reasonable prices! Have a look at the Fly Fishery Review page for Ellerdine Lakes.
After the interview, Garry agreed to tie a few flies and fish a few of the lakes, overall, I had a fantastic days fishing, Garry and his customers were very friendly and a vast mind of fly fishing knowledge. I would suggest you pay a visit if you are in and around Shropshire!
About Ellerdine Lakes
The site of Ellerdine Lakes was first developed in 2000 and then in July of 2008 the fishery came under the new and current management of Garry Edwards. A thriving business and favoured location for many, Ellerdine is now regarded as the best trout fishery in Shropshire. Watch Carl from flyfishingmyway interview Garry Edwards, Fishery Manager of Ellerdine lakes, tie some flies, catch fish and tour the lakes.
Set in beautiful rural farmland in Shropshire, Ellerdine Lakes Trout Fishery is a Trout Masters Water, and an ideal location for anglers who want a little peace and quiet, with plenty of good fishing. With four spring-fed lakes, regular stocking and a tackle shop on-site, Ellerdine Lakes offers a great day out.
Spend a moment to watch the videos of me speaking to Garry and fishing the lakes, it is very interesting and informative, it gives you a good flavour of the experience of fly fishing at Ellerdine Lakes.
